Jakiś czas temu zobaczyłem teaser tego filmu w kinie. Zapowiadało się ciekawie. Facet któremu zmarła córka odwiedza miejsca w których podobno straszy szukając kontaktu ze swoim dzieckiem. Niestety w samym filmie ciężko doszukać się logiki z trailera. W sumie w ogóle ciężko doszukać się jakiejkolwiek logiki. Facet pisze książki o strasznych miejscach, trafia w końcu do pokoju 1408 w hotelu Delfin. Przed zameldowaniem się w tym pokoju odbywa rozmowę z kierownikiem hotelu którego gra Samuel L. Jackson i ów rozmowa to chyba jedyny fragment filmu który jest w miarę wciągający. Wzbudza ciekawość co też stanie się dalej. Niestety nie dzieje się nic. Płasko, nudno, beznamiętnie. Nasz koleżkowiec jak się można spodziewać spotyka w końcu swoje siły nadprzyrodzone jednakże na tym koniec. Można się doszukiwać jakiejś pseudo-ideologii, snuć domysły na temat jego przemiany. Niestety tego tak naprawdę tu nie ma. Może można znaleźć to w książce Stephena Kinga na podstawie której ów film powstał. Tu za to jest kilka niewyszukanych efektów specjalnych. No i może jakimś cudem jakaś 15 latka się na tym przestraszy. W skali 3 gwiazdkowej tylko jedna.

Dowody uznania?
